101 Uses for your Grad Gown

In our bid to help you decide if you should buy or rent ur graduating gown, eponine and i have painstakingly taken the effort to list the future uses of the gown, not just for your Big Day only. We used the compiled list to aid in our own decision-making:

What you can do with that gown if you were to Buy it:

#1: pretend to flap your wings, run around in circles &pretend to be your all time Hero- Big Bird
#2:wear it to work everyday to remind people that you're a graduate so they must treat u with respect
#3:wear your gown as your airy and comfortable home pyjamas
#4: easier to hide tiles under the sleeves of your gown, when u play majong
#5: as a full-body apron for cooking; you actually really "put on" your apron, good to prevent hot oil spilling on you.
#6:solve the fuss of what to wear, when u get invited to your next "Harry Potter" themed- party.
#7: when your boss insults you and calls you an idiert, don the gown the next day to remind him/her of your qualification.
#8: you can wear it to the cinema and keep yourself nice and warm while watching your favourite movie
#9:roleplay ( no further elaborations- figure yourself and let your imagination run as wild as it can be)
#10:at ONS, some guys just dun believe that they've bedded a graduate. Oh well, wear it to prove it.
#11:black garments are cool.
#12:Under the gown, you can scratch your underarms without being caught
#13:Use the big black garment as cloth for spring cleaning
#14:Hide your figure from the world
#15:Hide your pregnancy from the world- they'll just wonder why the sudden change in fashion taste
#16:its so baggy, you can really fly in it. Really
#17:at night, you can camouflage yourself with it and sneak up on unsuspecting lovers in the park
#18:for halloween costume party- yea, Studying Was Indeed Scary
#19:wear it to cosplay- you'll be outstanding amongst those anime wannabes.
#20:go ahead! you live in a big mansion and have too much storage space in your house anyway
#21:stand in front of the tv, spread ur hands, be annal and block people from watching TV.
#101:the most important factor- you'll prove to the world that you are rich enough to afford your own gown for all the above uses, instead of renting it.

After all these considerations: guess which option we chose in the end?
We opted for Rental.

you're welcome to add to this list, which by no means, is exhaustive.

Correct me if i'm wrong. But the idea of buying a graduation gown is sorta like buying a wedding gown. Very few people buy wedding gowns, they just rent them. I can only think of two reasons why people buy wedding gowns: (1) They want to keep the wedding gowns for sentimental reasons, and (2) They have too much money. Similarly, I can also only think of two reasons why people buy graduation gowns: (1) They want to keep the graduation gowns for sentimental reasons, (2) They have too much money.

If you fall into the first category, then I have nothing to say to you. But if you fall into the second category, please for the sake of a certain Anonymous here, donate your money to me!
