Did you ever know tat you're my Hero?
Hahaha, this is probably the shockiest news i've heard in a long while:
was casually chatting with my grandma's maid (i call her Auntie Dora) and i realised after i'm about to finish my accounting degree, that *gasp* Auntie Dora; the woman who's served the house, cooked almost all my dinner since i was primary 1 - she also has a degree, Majoring in Accounting!!
Can u imagine, the woman who's served in ur family as a housekeeper, settled ur dinners for so many damned years, is also of similar qualification as you? That she's also had her dreams as a youth, and how the hell she landed with you?
I was shocked because i can so imagine the scenario: ernie comes back from school complaining how difficult accounting is in school, blah blah.. then someone says,
*falls off the chair*
Take some time to chat with tat Auntie XXXX staying with you, She's probably some Master's or PHD holder- if u can handle the shock ( i'm still recovering).
It was the first time i actually probed into her life, cheekily asked her about her having any bf ( she did a few years ago) and what plans she had after working here ( not sure she's gonna renew after 2 years more or not)
I would have gotten more out of her with tat bottle of home-made rice wine on the dining table but i got chased home by my grandma for the night...
Oh well...

Too bad you only realised that you have a hidden gem at home at the end of your undergraduate days. If only you had found out earlier, who knows... you might be a first class honors grad. *wink*
I still don't understand how your title "Did you ever know that you're my Hero" links with the fact that your housekeeper is an accounting grad.

eh, coz she's been serving the house consistently since i was primary 1? Tat's something, i dun think i can do as well...

Yay ernie is back! And so accounting grads are a penny for a dozen.. heh! She's also like a housewife just that she's caring for someone else's home.
yea..i guess.
