Marriage of Convenience

Was given a talk by a guy who's company expanded into Latin Am in search of business opportunities. Was talking about how IE Sgp helped in bringing them into the new country, the connections and finding the right business partner. And he said about how choosing the right business partner is so important that it will make or break their own business..

Somewhere along tat line, i got lost in my own train of thought that this essentially is the case in finding the right life partner. The right partner could flourish with you, and the wrong one will just leave u in ruins. How deep the investment also affects too- the more you invest and place your hopes in, the harder you'll fall. Even if the business partnership is a queer and unusual one, so long as it brings in the $$$ for both parties, CELEBRATE IT!

Then he said something about some people having the foresight in determining who's going to be the right business partner, and convincing the potential partner to work with you in the project. If you have poor foresight or are not streetwise enough, you might end up with wrong business moves....

I think, i'll just stick to auditing. Business and foreign trade, i fear to tread.

PS: on a happier note, i'm feeling proud and confident again (score: 2) as the Olive Oil presentation today was almost flawless. Less time, Less people, yet could still be commented for being well prepared! I've figured lah, i cant flourish in groups greater than 2. I'll feel lost. I need to be in control but yet have someone's presence to make sure tat i dun shortchange myself with lazyness.
