Sing Somsri
Sigh... had to rewrite the posting again...
Anyway, was at Pearl's jamming party tat nite and it was fun. The usual stageit party- fun, music, food, booze( but apparently no one drank this time) Everyone cool was there. Missed Dot and Sebs though. Jein left earlier and i came fashionably late and missed her. Almost had my first public performance for my composition. Wow, with her acoustic guitar somemore- never played a full song on acoustic... would have been great. Would have done it if you guys had insisted a little more though... Oh well, next time perhaps.
Michelle wowed us with her melodious voice, goodness... We should get her in our musical 2005. Shil was strutting her stuff, great with keyboard and giving her sultry attitude, absolutely love her at samba masala. Pat has the voice which we all wanna hear over and over again.. Pearlyn being the host, was master of keyboard and all other instruments... who said u have ghastly voice? You never tried.Ruoying was looking great with her oriental outfit and downing her unspiked drinks. Berl was there at a corner looking cute and cool with the video. Wonder wat she was filming the whole night. Wished i could hear her singing though... Mich's Glen was rapping with desperation- poor guy. But he's really a super sport. Imagine giving it all up..Guan was being the good emcee.. flirting with the mic..
Shumei and May were just "nuahing" and taking up the sofa space... heehee.
When Cheryl sang her somsri song, i guess it created an air of poignancy in all of us. For one, i seriously missed it. Her singing has improved even more since the show, so touching voice... It reminded me of the good old days at STTD when i was doing mere brainless nailing, sawing, painting and moving stuff.. Now? Things change- if i have the choice, i wont wanna change anything. I miss Sing to the Dawn. The kind of chemistry built up, i think its not possible to imitate again. Then people start graduating and leaving- just makes the whole picture seem incomplete. Sigh.
Anyway, i realised tat all the time Cheryl sings tat song,i was always "hiding behind walls" listening to her singing. Heehee, this time i was the audience. How cool..I love her singing.
Oh, Edison from percussion was there.. If i had taken the opportunity to chat up and flirt, i might get backdoor access into Samba Masala... Who says ernie cant do it? Dot forbid, Sebs abide by her edict, doesnt mean i cannot use the unorthodox way? heehee... We'll see... We'll see...

But if we turn away from what we started, then will we ever wish that we had tried? By breaking free will we be broken hearted? What will i see when all the tears have dried?
